Focus on PRODWAYS GROUP, a subsidiary of GROUPE GORGÉ, an independent company active in high-tech industries, including civil and military robotics, fire and nuclear safety, and 3D printing.
French company specializing in the manufacture and marketing of industrial and professional 3D printers for the jewelry, footwear, industrial design, architecture, engineering, construction and automotive sectors. If before the Covid-19 crisiscrisis, the Group posted sales of 71.3 million euros, Prodways was able to turn its business around in the third quarter of 2020, bringing sales down to 39.9 million euros. The Group remains confident about the future, thanks in particular to accelerating trends supporting the development of 3D printing and its solid financial position.
Its evolution on the market
Prodways sales amounted to €17.2 million in the final quarter of 2022, up 5% and stable on an organic basis. This reflects the change in seasonality compared with 2021, as well as the shift of some printer deliveries scheduled for late September to October, with no impact on the outlook for 2022. The third quarter was particularly marked by a large number of orders for 3D printers, some of which will be used for the orthodontics market and others in the manufacturing process for dental prostheses of all types. These orders testify to the growing application of 3D printing in the dental sector, beyond alignment trays. In view of its commercial success, Prodways confirms its 2022 guidance announced in September, both in terms of revenues and profitability.
Prodways in collaboration with Henkel
Prodways' ProMaker LD machines, supported by MovingLight technology, offer a large production platform (300x445mm) for high manufacturing speed and very high resolution, up to 40 microns per pixel throughout the platform. By adding Loctite high-performance resins to ProMaker LD 3D printers, industrial applications can be realized with exceptional precision and productivity.
" I am very proud of this new collaboration, which strengthens Prodways' offering and helps accelerate our customers' innovations in the industrial manufacturing, automotive and consumer goods sectors." explains Alban D'Halluin, Director of Prodways Printers.
" This partnership offers a real opportunity for our customers to move from prototyping to mass production using additive manufacturing. The manufacturing platform and precision of Prodways machines coupled with Loctite industrial resins enable the production of truly functional parts for a much wider range of applications" adds Sam Bail, Partnership Manager for 3D printing at Henkel.
