Founded in 2014 by Eric Larchevêque, Ledger is a company specializing in security solutions for digital assets. Its flagship product? An ultra-secure USB key that stores cryptocurrencies: the Ledger Nano S.
Today, the start-up has developed and innovated its products to be more powerful and efficient. The Ledger Nano S Plus key is compatible with over 1,100 cryptocurrencies, including popular ones such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple and many more.
From daring start-up to crypto-asset unicorn
In recent years, cryptocurrencies have exploded, as has the demand for solutions to secure them. Factors that have strongly influenced Ledger's exponential growth.

The start-up has raised several rounds of financing. In 2021, Ledger closed the round with a fundraising of $380 million, or 312 million euros. In 2022, the company is topping up its Series C with a further 100 million euros, keeping its valuation at 1.3 billion euros.
A valuation that has enabled the company to enter the closed club of French unicorns, the first in the crypto sector.
